2020 Product Of The Year Awards Show
Times Square was buzzing with innovation at the Thursday, February 6th, 2020 Product of the Year Awards Show! The top innovators in CPG manufacturing filed into the Edison Ballroom in the heart of New York City, where they awaited a special night filled with accolades and celebration! Guests were met on the red carpet by The Brady Bunch’s Barry Williams (aka Greg Brady) to talk about their winning products and the power behind the Product of the Year seal. Cocktail hour ensued, and guests toasted the night while rubbing elbows with their fellow winning brands, and were serenaded by Times Square’s iconic “Naked Cowboy.” The dining room doors opened, where a delicious dinner was served, followed by a ceremony full of laughter and fun, hosted by SNL alumni Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch – and a surprise appearance from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12 contestant Brita Filter (an aptly named Queen for our ceremony) as the 2020 trophy presenter! An unprecedented 41 categories of product winners were announced, in addition to the Best Activation Award won by SC Johnson’s Scrubbing Bubbles Bubbly Bleach Cleaner, for best overall use of the POY seal following their 2019 win. Just when guests thought the night was over, Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors surprised the audience with an exciting performance of “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and “Two Princes,” pumping the audience up before a celebratory confetti blast and kick off to the after party sponsored by Amstel and Dos Equis.
